In the past, I have always traveled to capture memories in sunflowers. So this year I decided to plant some on our farm. Needless to say they turned out amazing and were breathtaking at sunset. I can not wait to do them next year. I was worried they didn’t grow tall enough, but it happened to be a perfect height for families and little ones. I even got to take a few senior session in them. They have turned out to be so fun to grow. Not only are they gorgeous to look at. Many bees shared the love of the flowers as well. Next year I am also going to look into planting different kinds to benefit more varieties of bees.
The start of the sunflower season, I was blessed to capture a family I have known for a long time. There is something about flowers that put a smile on anyone’s face. Ok, maybe not the everyone….but most! I went to school with Stephanie. She is such a kind soul and her love shines through her daughter. And of course I can not forget her amazing husband….oh and the fur babies. I love sessions with fur babies!! Stay tuned for more limited edition sunflower galleries!
