Splash Zone – Springfield Ohio
While not located directly in Columbus, Splash Zone in Springfield, is a popular destination for families from across Central Ohio. Just a short drive north, Splash Zone offers an exciting outdoor water experience with over 400 feet of water slides, a 280-foot lazy river, water vortex, sprayground, 25-yard competition pool, 2 one-meter diving boards, zero-depth beach entry, and Ohio’s first bowl slide!
This affordable and family-friendly park is great for a day trip and often less crowded than city-based options. Don’t forget to bring sunscreen and water shoes for the little ones!
Reed Road Water Park – Upper Arlington, OH
Located in Upper Arlington, Reed Road Water Park is a community favorite for locals in the Columbus metro area. This smaller, well-maintained water park is ideal for families with young children. Additionally some features that you will love are a heated leisure pool, spiral slide, kiddie play area with fountains, and a shaded seating and grassy areas for picnics.
It’s the perfect neighborhood water park for a casual summer afternoon. Residents receive discounted admission, but non-residents are welcome too!

Splash Harbor – Bellville, Ohio
A hidden gem near Columbus, Splash Harbor in Bellville is part of the Comfort Inn hotel, making it a perfect overnight getaway for families. It’s an indoor water park, so it’s great year-round. So some of the features are an enclosed water slide, family-sized hot tub, splashing water playground, and basketball hoops in the pool.
Splash Harbor is especially ideal for younger children and families who prefer a quieter, more controlled water park experience.
Worthington Pools (Natatorium) – Worthington, OH
Worthington Natatorium, part of the Worthington Pools complex, offers both indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities. It’s a popular spot for swim lessons, lap swimming, and recreational play. The outdoor summer features are a large outdoor pool with diving boards, baby pool with splash features, water slide and play structures, a snack bar, and most importantly for little ones is shaded areas.

Zoombezi Bay – Powell, OH
No list of water parks in Columbus, Ohio is complete without Zoombezi Bay. Located adjacent to the Columbus Zoo, this full-scale water park is packed with attractions for all ages. This may be my favorite place with so much to do. So some must-try attractions are cyclone and big boa water slides, Baboon Lagoon for younger kids, Wild Tides wave pool, Lazy river and action river, and private cabanas and dining options.
